Hola a todos, Things have been changing rapidly within the school district and I will continue to try and keep you all as updated and informed as possible. Please continue to use this website to access resources and activities to work at home with your child. I am still working on getting our google classroom up and running. This week I will be sending an email to each of you with your child's learn account (email address with password), in which you will need to help them log in and accept a request to join my google classroom. More instructions to come! Please find below a list of suggested activities to do with your child at home today and/or tomorrow for the core subjects. Gracias! Math: Continue to practice addition and subtraction problems to 20 using the outline provided yesterday. If access to a printer, print off math booklet file attached below and have your child work through 5 pages of it a day. The concepts in this math booklet are all review for the students of concepts they have learned in class. English: Continue to practice daily reading and writing using journal template provided or in a journal at home. Read a story and discuss. For journal today, write about what the problem of the story was and the solution. Use sentence starters like: The book I chose was.. The problem was... The solution was... Also, attached below is a word family book entitled "the short a" word family practice activities. Please start on the first two pages only. If no access to a printer, please copy activities on a blank paper. Spanish: Continue to practice las frutas and choose 5 activities on the rockalingua website. They can be some of the worksheets or some of the games that go along with it. You may also choose the video called Mi Familia and pick and choose some of the worksheets or games associated with that video. Social: Finish the environment worksheet posted yesterday. Make a mini poster on plain white paper of ways we can take care of our environment. Make sure to have them include 5 different things they can do with a title "Ways to Take Care of my Environment" and 5 mini pictures and labels of what they drew. Examples: Recycling (with a recycle symbol), Reuse (picture of a reusable bag), Reduce (turn off taps when not using them), clean up garbage (draw a person cleaning up), donate clothes and toys they don't want anymore (picture of toys and clothes). Science: Review ways people adapt when one of their senses does not work (braille, seeing eye dog, sign language). Have them work on second part of science attachment posted yesterday about how to take care of our senses. If able to print, print it off and have them color pictures after you have read the information and discussed it together. Religion: Using the link provided, type in the username and password to access religion textbook and activities online. We are currently on unit 4. Feel free to start at the beginning with the e-text and with the associated activities. Please only do one activity every couple of days.
